Trauma has taken root in Thea’s soul, leaving behind questions she can no longer silence. When long-buried memories begin to surface, the truth presses in demanding to be seen, felt, and faced.
Adopted by the Mirascan people, Thea has always believed herself to be human. But as fragments of her past return, doubt follows. Drawn by questions she can’t answer and a pull she can’t explain, she steps beyond the only world she has ever known, hoping to uncover who she truly is.
Her search leads her into the unknown and into the path of Ilan. Through him, Thea begins to unravel the lies that shaped her life, awakening a deep ache of anger, betrayal, and grief. What she uncovers changes everything.
Caught in the center of a living prophecy, Thea learns of Creashu, the world of her origin, and the calling placed upon her life. As new gifts awaken within her, she must decide whether she will allow her pain to define her…or refine her.
Determined to pursue truth, forgiveness, and the path set before her, Thea faces a choice that will alter more than her own destiny. The future of two worlds hangs in the balance, and the role she was born to fulfill can no longer be ignored. But becoming a Prophecy Changer was never meant to be easy.
“Prophecy Changer blew me away. It’s a magnificent, exciting, and enlivening ride through worlds I don’t know—worlds that are mysterious and fascinating. I want to see the movie! No—I want to MAKE the movie!!! Bravo to R. T. Ward!”

“The story world of Prophecy Changer comes vividly to life from the onset as R.T. Ward’s words stir images as if watching a movie. She doesn’t just tell a story—she invites you in. Within these pages, courage rises in the quiet places of the heart, hope holds steady, and the quest for true purpose unfolds with wonder. The need for restoration that can only be found in this mysterious realm outside of life’s known comforts has me seeking answers alongside the characters. Compelling!”

“The writing style of Prophecy Changer is gorgeous. It’s a captivating coming-of-age story sprinkled with fantasy creatures and battles of good vs. evil. With rich settings, depth of characters, and beautiful descriptions, I felt swept up in this fantasy novel.”

I started writing for adults, especially moms in ministry, but it didn’t take long to realize there weren’t many fiction options parents felt good about for their teens—so I shaped Prophecy Changer to be a clean, meaningful story that not only adults would enjoy, but that young adults could connect with too.
It’s an adventurous, hope-filled story that entertains while gently encouraging reflection, courage, and faith.
It addresses identity, fear, forgiveness, and calling on a heart level—without explicit content or harmful themes. It will hit the heart in a good way.
I believe readers will walk away encouraged, strengthened, and a heart posture with expectation for great things within their own lives---and---hopefully excited about book two!
Through allegory or (extended metaphor), the story models surrender, trust, truth, and spiritual authority—opening doors for natural faith conversations.
Fantasy bypasses defenses and engages the heart, allowing truth to be discovered rather than preached.
Yes. It is clean, age-appropriate, and suitable for adults, teens, homeschool families, and shared reading.
This story prioritizes meaning over magic and the whole idea of magic is questioned. In Prophecy Changer, there is no “good” or “bad” magic, only magic (the counterfeit) vs the power of God through Holy Spirit. It’s grounded, purposeful, and emotionally resonant—I think one who doesn’t enjoy fantasy can see this “fantasy” as a vehicle, not the focus.
It is Book One of The Siloas Trilogy. Additional books are currently in development.
